PageMaker Student Project

Final Project: Student's Choice
Your final project is free play: you get to design and produce a PageMaker publication of your own choosing. This can be a newsletter, a booklet, a brochure, a business report, or any other project that interests you. There are only a few guidelines I would like you to follow (minimum specifications):

  • 2 or more pages long with master page elements

  • 2 or more placed graphics

  • 2 or more text stories or articles (can be "dummy" text; i.e., type a paragraph or two, then copy and paste to make enough text to fill publication)

  • multi-column layout (2 or more)

  • incorporate PageMaker drawing tools (i.e., lines, circles, boxes, polygons) into layout

  • incorporate consistent type styles (i.e., headline, subhead, body text, captions) into layout

  • incorporate color (spot and/or process) into layout

Projects will be evaluated on how well they demonstrate your mastery of the tools and techniques we've been practicing the last eight weeks. Please let me know if you have any questions or need ideas (I've got plenty). To see some examples of students projects done in prior classes, check out the Student Gallery.

Final project is due in my e-mailbox by noon Monday, June 5.
