Mission Statement
The English as a Second Language Department serves resident ESL students through essential course work and related support services that enable students to achieve personal, educational, family and work-related goals.
The English as Second Language Program at Clackamas Community College serves immigrants and international students. By serving these two types of students, speakers of many different languages attend classes together. To register for classes, please contact:
Classes offered:Core classes are offered in conversation, reading, writing, and grammar. Elective classes include Pronunciation, Intercultural Communication, TOEFL/TOEIC Preparation, Idioms and Conversation, Vocabulary Building. The program also has a multimedia computer lab and one-on-one tutoring help through our Literacy Program.
