The Fire Science (Wildland) program provides training that can lead to seasonal or permanent employment with State, Federal ,Private contract fire fighting or Timber Industry. There are many career tracks in the field of wildland fire fighting and forestry. It's exciting work that requires fundamental survival, safety and fire fighting skills.A Memorandum of Understanding certifying Clackamas Community College as an authorized training site has been signed by the Pacific Northwest Wildfire Coordinating Group and the National Wildfire Coordinating Group. Program instructors are National Wildland Fire Coordinating Group(NWCG), Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and training (DPSST) certified and offer 15-40 years of wildland fire fighting experience.
