Tuition Waiver:

Tuition Waivers are available to FT staff and PT Faculty for the staff employee and their IRS dependent. What is a IRS dependent?

PT Faculty - Tuition Waivers are awarded to PT Faculty who have taught classes within a particular time frame. Staff should contact the Human Resource office and review the PT Faculty contract for more information.

How to process Tuition Waivers:

FT Staff

Tuition is waived at the time of registration. Fees are the responsibility of the employee and are subjected to "pay now - pay later" policy.

PT Faculty, retirees and dependents of FT, PT faculty staff and retirees

Registering on MyClackamas?

Print a copy of the registration with your name, id number and credits. Bring this copy to HR for a signature from HR and pay the fees at Roger Rook.

Registering with a registration form?

Staff may register before or after receiving a signature from HR. If registering prior to receiving the signature, please let the cashier know that you would like to pay for your fees only then obtain a signature from HR.

Continuing Professional Educational Opportunities for:

Administrative/Supervisory staff: these opportunities are in the form of professional improvement funds and the opportunity for the advanced degree program. More information may be received from the Human Resource office.

FT Classified staff: these opportunities are in the form of professional development funds, the funds for the advanced degree program and the awarded grants through the Classified union.

FT Faculty: these opportunities are in the form of Exception professional funds(located in HR), Professional Development funds (departmental), and the funds for Degree opportunities(HR).

PT Faculty: these opportunities will be stated on advertisement flyers. PT Faculty have the opportunity to submit requests term by term for staff development money reviewed by the PT Faculty board. Please contact the PT Faculty President.

PT Classified staff: may receive a Fill A Seat voucher from their department each term and may register during the week before the term starts, classes are only available if there is a unfilled seat. Please contact your supervisor for more information.
