One in five adults in Oregon cannot fill out a job application, help 3rd grade children with their homework, or find their way using a map.
Students come to our program to improve reading, writing and math skills, or to learn English as a second language. Their backgrounds and goals vary tremendously.
What can you do to help?
Become a volunteer tutor for the Clackamas Community College Literacy Program. Work with adults who are learning English as a Second Language or native speakers who want to improve basic skills or get GED.
To get more information how to become a tutor please go to our Tutors page.
What can you do if you are the one who needs help?
If you need help to reach your educational goals or you know somebody who needs help, contact our program coordinator Andrea Vergun or visit our Students page.
If you would like to volunteer or if you need help, call Andrea Vergun, Volunteer Tutor Coordinator at (503) 594-3880 or send her an email, andreav@clackamas.edu.
