Department Description

Clackamas offers a complete program of courses in chemistry, physics, geology, and general science designed to fulfill lower division requirements for both science majors and non-majors. The Physical Science Department also provides science support courses for students preparing for careers in engineering, health occupations, pre-professional or the vocational/technical fields. Students planning to transfer to a four-year institution should consult a counselor at that institution as well as a CCC faculty counselor to plan a program which meets their specific degree requirements.

Introductory Chemistry is offered in an on-line plus lab format (study the content on-line and come to lab to do lab work, turn in assignments and take quizzes). To find out more, click on the following links to go to the orientation pages for those courses.
