It includes: Physical Anthropology: the study of humans as biological organisms and the links between our biology and our culture; Archaeology: the study of past human cultures through their material remains; Linguistics: the study of human language; and Cultural Anthropology: the study of living societies and cultures Anthropology considers questions such as: What is it that makes us human? How and why are we alike and different? How and why have we changed through time? Anthropology spans the natural sciences, the social sciences, and the humanities. As folklorist Henry Glassie once said, "The goal of our science is to make us better humanists, the goal of our humanity is to make us better scientists. The goal of our work is to make us better people." Join in a class in anthropology and explore what it means to be human!
