Religious Studies is the study of the systems of belief where individuals or groups express their understanding or relationship with Divinity or a larger sphere of understanding. It involves complex notions of the beginning of life and the relationship of all of Life. At Clackamas, beginning religious studies explore the nature of sacred stories and mythologies from many cultures, belief systems and practices of a wide variety of religions and questions about the history and ideas that have allowed religion to flourish around the world. Taking classes in religion will find you exploring the teachings of Jesus, The Buddha, Moses, Mohammed, Confucius, Lao Tse and many others. You will learn about Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, Islam, Christianity and many other paths that seek understanding.

There is much to understand about the religious experience of our world. Join us for a class or two; you'll be able to find out more about what you and others believe. So whether you are a long time practitioner of religion or are learning about it for the first time, Clackamas offers a variety of courses as signposts on the way to your future. It's SMART!
