Oregon Backflow Training

  Clackamas Community College offers 5-day backflow tester certification courses that are approved by the Oregon Health Division.  Only certified testers can perform the annual backflow assembly test required by the Oregon Plumbing Code and Water Purveyors.  Individuals that may be interested in certification include:
bulletplumbers
bulletlandscape contractors
bulletwater and wastewater operators
bulletfire sprinkler contractors
bulletfacility maintenance personnel
bulletcommercial backflow testers

Those who pass the written examination and hands-on performance tests may apply to the Oregon Department of Human Services for certification as a Backflow Device Tester. 

The Department of Human Services requires proof of high school diploma or GED certificate in order to complete the certification process.
